Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android apps Morocco Hub (com.farabi.morocco.apphub), Tunisia Hub (com.farabi.tunisia.apphub), Libya Hub (com.farabi.libya.apphub), Algeria Hub (com.farabi.algeria.apphub), Dubai Hub (com.farabi.dubai.apphub) and Greece Hub (com.farabi.greece.apphub), and explains how they handle information.

The apps are published on Google Play under the developer name AppteraApps. The developer and data controller is ELFARABI ABDELWAHED, Bureau 602, étage 1, Centre Bochra, El Manar 2, El Menzah 2092, Tunisia (referred to below as "we" or "the developer"). Each app is a free directory of local mobile apps for one country and is offered "as is".

Apps covered by this policy

This policy applies to each of the following apps (each referred to as "the App"):

All six apps share the same code and the same data practices; the only differences are the country, languages and the list of apps shown.

Summary

• The App has no accounts and does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
• Advertising (Google AdMob) and usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) use device identifiers, as described below. Where required by law, you are asked for consent first.
• If you use the optional "Suggest a missing app" form, the app name you type is sent to our server so we can add it to the directory.
• Your favorites and settings are stored only on your device.

Information the App processes

1. Information stored only on your device

Your favorite apps, theme (light/dark) and language choice, and a cached copy of the app directory are saved locally on your device. They are not sent to us. They are deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall it.

2. Directory updates

To show an up-to-date list of apps, the App downloads a public data file from our server at app-hub.farabi.tn (about once every 12 hours, or when you pull to refresh). Like any web request, this reveals your device's IP address and basic technical details (such as the App version) to the server. We do not use this to identify you; the server keeps technical access logs only for security and troubleshooting, and they are rotated automatically.

3. "Suggest a missing app" form (optional)

If you choose to suggest an app, the App sends to app-hub.farabi.tn:

• the app name you typed (required) and, if you entered it, the app's package name;
• the country of the Hub app you are using and the Hub app's version number;
• your IP address, which is used only to limit abuse (rate limiting) and is not stored with the suggestion.

Please do not type personal information into this form. Suggestions are used only to find the app on Google Play and add it to the directory. If your device has no internet connection or the request fails, the App may offer to send the suggestion by email instead; in that case your email app sends it and your email address will be visible to us.

4. Advertising – Google AdMob

The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions, in order to show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud. Depending on your region and your choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other regions where it is required, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent before personalized ads are used. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy in the App (shown when it applies to you).

5. Usage analytics – Google Analytics for Firebase

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used and to improve it, for example which screens are opened and which apps are tapped in the directory, together with device model, operating system version, App version and an app instance identifier. Where consent is required, analytics collection starts only after you give consent.

6. Opening apps on Google Play

When you tap an app in the directory, the App opens that app's page on Google Play. Anything you then do on Google Play is governed by Google's privacy policy, not this one. The apps listed in the directory are owned by their own developers; we are not affiliated with them and their privacy practices are their own.

How we use information

• To provide and update the directory and add apps suggested by users.
• To show ads that keep the App free.
• To understand usage, fix problems and improve the App.
• To keep our server secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the information above to contact you for marketing.

Third-party services

The App uses the following Google services, which process data under their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services
• Google AdMob (including the User Messaging Platform) – how Google uses information from apps that use its services
• Google Analytics for Firebase

Data retention

• Data stored on your device stays there until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
• Missing-app suggestions are kept as long as needed to process them and as a record of which apps were requested; they do not contain your identity unless you sent them by email.
• Server access logs are rotated automatically and kept only for a short period.
• Data processed by Google AdMob and Firebase is retained according to Google's policies and settings.

Your choices and rights

• Change or withdraw ad consent in Settings → Privacy (where applicable).
• Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Google settings.
• Stop all collection by uninstalling the App.
• Ask us any question, or request access to or deletion of information relating to you (for example, a suggestion you sent by email), using the contact details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Security

All communication between the App and our server uses encrypted HTTPS connections. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
