This privacy policy governs your use of the mobile application WiFi Spy: Who uses my net (the "Application") on mobile devices, created by Farabi Abdelwahed (the "Developer").

The Application is designed as a utility network analyzer to help you discover, scan, and monitor devices connected to your local WiFi network. Your privacy is our highest priority, and we are committed to being transparent about the data handled by the Application.

We design the Application to minimize data access. Please review how we treat different types of information below:

1. Locally Processed Information

To perform the network scan and list connected devices, the Application reads the local WiFi network infrastructure. This includes processing:

• IP Addresses: Assigned to devices connected to your local network.
• MAC Addresses: Hardware IDs of connected devices to uniquely identify intruders.
• Manufacturer & Hostnames: Used to render user-friendly names for devices (e.g., Apple, Samsung).

Critical This information is processed exclusively in-memory on your mobile device. It is never uploaded to any remote server, stored in databases off-device, or shared with the Developer or third parties.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect any personal identifier data, including:

• Personal identification details (Name, Age, Username, Password).
• Contact details (Email address, Phone number, Address).

To perform network diagnostics and scan local devices, the Application requires specific system permissions. Here is why they are requested and how they are used:

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Under Android's security architecture, location permissions are mandatory for scanning active WiFi networks and identifying the network SSID. The Application uses this permission solely to interface with the WiFi hardware and perform scans. We do not track, record, or share your physical location.
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE & CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE: Required to inspect your WiFi connection details (like signal strength, speed) and broadcast query packets to discover other network hosts.
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE & INTERNET: Used to verify if the device is connected to the internet, enable general network diagnostics (such as internet speed testing), and load advertisement banners.
• NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES: Required on modern Android platforms to scan and discover nearby WiFi devices without requiring physical location access.
• ACCESS_LOCAL_NETWORK: Allows the Application to discover and query other network nodes in your immediate local network space.

The Application is supported by advertising and includes code from third-party services. These networks may collect data regarding your device, your location, and how you interact with ads to customize, target, and measure advertising campaigns.

We integrate the following third-party service providers:

• Google Play Services: Provides the underlying framework for Android apps and handles basic hardware and software attributes. Google Play Services Privacy Policy

Because we do not store, copy, or transmit your network data or personal information to external servers, the security risk to your data is virtually non-existent on our end. Your device information, names of known devices, and scan histories are kept inside the secure sandbox of Android's local storage database on your specific device.

We advise you to secure your physical device with passwords, PINs, or biometric security to prevent unauthorized access to local apps and network reports.

The Application is not intended for or directed towards children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal details, we will delete it immediately.
